Vegan Cooking for Beginners
Some of the best vegan recipes are the quickest, cheapest, and simplest.
Vegans are tired of hearing people say our food is boring and tasteless, so we have developed a complex about making refined, complicated vegan cuisine. Gourmet vegan cooking is incredible and has its place in our hearts, but on an everyday basis we need easy vegan recipes with regular, budget-friendly ingredients that we can put together in a hurry.
Busy people come home tired and hungry, and often they'll look at a recipe and think, “Not gonna happen!” They're discouraged by too many ingredients, weird or expensive ingredients, recipes with too many steps, or anything that just looks like it's going to take too long.
Add to that frustration the fact that many people realize as adults that they never learned how to cook, so they survive on packaged food and takeout food. Most people truly do want to eat healthy food, but they don't even know how to boil water, let alone saute, steam, bake, roast, or figure out how to cook without meat and dairy.
If you're already a vegan and don't know how to cook, you probably buy frozen and boxed pre-made meals that are super expensive and never leave you feeling full, let alone healthy. Those packaged meals and fake meats and cheeses are the exact ones that give vegan food the stereotype of being expensive.
It's time to learn to stop ordering fast food and learn how to cook healthy plant-based meals that will make you look and feel amazing. Once you learn to cook once, you can do it forever. This vegan recipe book teaches you simple recipes that will give you the confidence to whip together a healthy vegan meal.

Vegan Cooking for Beginners 75 Quick Cheap and Easy Vegan Recipes eBook Cathleen Woods Reviews
This book is a must for all the people who say they want to cook vegan but don't have the time. I have been waiting for something like this.

Some pictures were not in this book. Maybe because I bought the e-book?
I am just starting the Vegan diet and this is very helpful.
I've been a vegan for a few years and while I experimented a lot with cooking at the beginning, I've been falling into a pattern of either picking food up on the way home or heating up packaged vegan meals for dinner. While they're easy and require no thought on my part, I don't like how much sodium is in them and I usually still feel a little hungry after eating them. Plus, eating that way doesn't give me the same kind of energy that I get when I eat fresher food made at home.
I bought this book because I've been following the author on facebook for a few years and subscribe to her newsletter, so I already knew I liked her style of writing and the recipes she gives in the newsletter.
The recipes are simple enough that even I could make them, and I don't cook very often. I also like that there are lots of pictures of the recipes and modifications in case you don't have those exact ingredients. Probably my favorite section in the book is the sandwiches, as I've missed chicken salad and tuna salad sandwiches and I like to be able to make the salad early in the week and then bring it for lunch throughout the week. I also appreciated that the desserts are quick and mostly no-bake.
I would have liked to see more gluten-free recipes, and some of the soup recipes take longer to cook and have more ingredients than the other recipes. Also, the nutrition data is not scientific, even the author says that it can vary depending on which brands you use in the recipes.
Overall, I highly recommend this book for new vegans and for people who don't really know how to cook. I think it could even work for vegans who are tired of their routine and want quick recipes that are healthy.
Nice way to get started with clean eating. Simple and delicious recipes.
Easy and cost saving recipes too. Good for all.
I have been a vegan for 5 years, have been cooking and baking vegan and changing up my own recipes. I purchased this because I am always looking for new ones to try and was highly disappointed. It seems like steps were skipped in the printing in many of the recipes, or maybe somebody thought, hmmm, this sounds like it will work let's put it in the book and see what happens. I have been cooking for over 20 years, I have a pretty good handle on food rules in cooking. Example lentil sloppy joes = fail. You cannot successfully cook lentils in a tomato sauce for 20 minutes and expect them to get soft like you would when they are cooked in water or broth, you just can't. They need pure moisture for the cooking process. And I knew this and yet tried the recipe as written anyway thinking maybe the author knows something I don't about lentils. And clearly, she didn't. And this was not the only recipe disaster. Overall, there are far better easy vegan cooking books out there. Skip this one.
